Faith, values and practical learning together

Ameen Islamic Institute is an educational institution in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. We see education as the relationship between what a child knows, how a child thinks and how a child acts. Academic learning builds understanding. Islamic learning gives a framework for purpose and conduct. Tarbiyah helps children practise these values in daily life.

Vision

To nurture knowledgeable, principled and capable young people who learn with dignity, act with responsibility and use their abilities to benefit others.

Mission

We connect Islamic learning, modern education and tarbiyah to support children’s academic and personal growth, strengthening literacy, sound judgement, wellbeing and the confidence to participate.

Learning at Ameen today

School education

Classroom teaching, practice and assessment build the foundations children need for continued learning. Ask us for the classes available at each campus.

Qur’an & Hifz

Qur’anic learning and Hifz are part of institutional life. Families can contact us to discuss the available routes and how they connect with school education.

Reading foundations

Phonics materials for Classes 1–3 cover sound patterns, word reading and oral reading.

Understanding progress

Written and oral tasks at different levels help us see what a child understands and plan next steps.

Leadership

One vision, two disciplines

Ameen Islamic Institute is led by an engineer of software and an engineer who is also a scholar of the deen. Together they hold the school to one standard: faith and skill, side by side.

Software Engineer Abbas Khan, Principal
Message from the Principal

Our children will grow up beside machines that can think. Our task is to raise children who think for themselves, and know why they think.

Assalam-o-Alaikum,

As a software engineer, I have seen technology change how the world works, learns and decides. As an educator in Swat, I know what no technology can give a child: faith, character and purpose.

At Ameen we refuse to choose between them. We want every child to read the Qur'an with understanding and the world with curiosity, and to use technology wisely without being used by it. Every programme we run has an open profile on this site, and we report what really happens.

Our aim is simple: a child who begins in Swat should be able to stand anywhere in the world with skill, confidence and a firm sense of who they are.

Software Engineer Abbas Khan Principal, Ameen Islamic Institute
Engineer Maulana Irfan Ali, Director
Message from the Director

Knowledge is an amanah. We teach children to carry it with both hands: the hand of faith and the hand of skill.

علم ایک امانت ہے۔ ہم بچوں کو سکھاتے ہیں کہ اسے دونوں ہاتھوں سے تھامیں: ایمان کے ہاتھ سے بھی اور مہارت کے ہاتھ سے بھی۔

Assalam-o-Alaikum,

The first word revealed was Iqra: "Read in the name of your Lord who created" (Al-'Alaq 96:1). Our tradition never separated knowledge of the Creator from knowledge of His creation.

As an engineer and a student of the deen, I have lived on both sides of a wall that should never have been built. At Ameen, Qur'an, Hadith and akhlaq are not an extra period; they are the ground the whole timetable stands on. Science and technology are ways of serving Allah's creation with ihsan.

We want our students to be honest in their work, gentle with the weak, firm on what is right and skilled enough to build what Swat needs. May Allah make this institute a source of 'ilm nafi', beneficial knowledge.

Engineer Maulana Irfan Ali Director, Ameen Islamic Institute

How we intend to improve the model

Parent feedback, teacher observations, activity records and learning checks will guide revisions and any decision to extend the work.
