Islamic values and modern learning for a purposeful future
At Ameen Islamic Institute in Swat, we connect school education, Qur’anic learning and tarbiyah. We aim to help children build strong foundations, grow in character and develop the confidence to use their abilities responsibly.
ایمان کے ساتھ علم، مقصد کے ساتھ ترقی
Learning that supports the whole child
Children need knowledge, thoughtful guidance and opportunities to practise what they learn. We work towards a culture where children can ask questions, accept responsibility and treat others with respect.
Connected learning
School education and Islamic learning guided by a shared purpose.
Character in practice
Turning honesty, respect and responsibility into daily habits.
Reading foundations
Structured phonics for Classes 1–3: sounds, word reading and oral reading.
Growing responsibility
Helping children contribute, cooperate and own their actions.
Home and school together
Parents kept connected through school communication and meetings.
An eight-week pilot, followed in the open
We are piloting girls’ health and safety, child protection, educational gaming and individual learning support. Each programme has its own public profile, showing its status, milestones, workshops, photos and results as they happen.
Clear, respectful lessons on puberty and menstrual health, led by a female teacher and reviewed by a female doctor and a female scholar, in a school with the facilities girls need. The companion track to Safe and Strong.
Safe and Strong: girls’ personal safety and self-defenceCourse designedA weekly course led by trained women: girls learn that their body is their own, to use a clear voice, the four SAFE steps and a few simple skills to get free and tell a trusted adult. Escape first, and it is never a girl’s fault.
Islamic and modern education modelBeing documentedDocumenting how every element — Qur’anic and school learning, phonics, health, safety, gaming, protection and individual support — connects to Islamic values, learning outcomes, a teacher and a place in the timetable.
Educational gaming and future skillsPrototype plannedOur students already learn with phonics, puzzle and strategy games. Our next step is a purposeful learning game, played at school and at home, that builds media literacy, critical thinking and problem solving.
Child protection developmentPlannedBuilding a real child-protection capability, not only awareness: an approved policy, a trained focal person, staff briefing and a clear reporting procedure. Adults carry the responsibility.
Student profiling and holistic developmentFramework adoptedKnowing each student as a whole child: six dimensions (physical, social, temperamental, educational, moral and intellectual), each with a daily habit, a term activity and a way of noticing growth, brought together in a one-page profile that starts with strengths.
Growing into people others can trust
Leadership begins when a child takes responsibility, makes a thoughtful decision or helps someone with care. Whether they become teachers, professionals, entrepreneurs or community members, our aim is that they carry knowledge with integrity.
Faith and skill, side by side
Dated accounts of the work
Teacher DevelopmentAssessment Should See the Whole Child, Not Just the Paper
Some children read a new lesson without a mistake; others underlined the words they could not yet pronounce. Our Director, Engineer Maulana Irfan Ali, on why activity-based learning and self-assessment help every child see their strengths and next steps.
Our ModelTeaching Children to Think: How We Are Building Curious, Careful and Creative Minds
Children meet more claims than ever: rumours, forwarded messages, adverts. Thinking Minds builds seven habits (wonder, sort, reason, check, imagine, solve and reflect) inside daily lessons, with ideas parents can use at home.
Teacher DevelopmentEvery Child Is Different: How We Are Learning to Teach to Each Child’s Natural Style
One child strides in, another chatters, a third drifts in calmly and a fourth waits and watches. Our teachers are learning to notice each child’s natural style and teach with it in mind, without ever assigning a label.
